Shortcomings of Becoming a Social Worker
- Social workers need a bachelor's degree and state licensing.
- Specializing often requires a master’s degree (6+ years of college).
- College for social work can be expensive, leading to student loans.
- Social workers typically earn less than others with similar education levels.
- The work can be emotionally challenging due to handling serious situations.
