Dove si trova la foresta pluviale?
La foresta pluviale si trova principalmente in tre aree geografiche del mondo: 1. Sud America: La più grande foresta pluviale del mondo è la foresta amazzonica, che si estende principalmente in Brasile, ma anche in parti di Perù, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname e Francia Guyana. 2. Africa centrale: La foresta pluviale del Congo è la seconda più grande, e si trova principalmente nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo, ma anche in Gabon, Camerun, Repubblica del Congo e alcuni altri paesi africani. 3. Asia: Le foreste pluviali tropicali si trovano anche in sud-est asiatico, comprese aree come l’Indonesia, la Malesia, le Filippine, la Thailandia e il Borneo. Questi ecosistemi sono caratterizzati da un clima caldo e umido, con precipitazioni abbondanti durante tutto l’anno.

Queste condizioni di calore e umidità costanti contribuiscono alla crescita di una vegetazione lussureggiante e alla presenza di una fauna molto variegata.

La flora della foresta pluviale è estremamente ricca e variegata, divisa in vari strati che ospitano diverse tipologie di piante: 1. Strato della chioma (canopy): Le piante più dense, molte delle quali sono epifite (orchidee, felci), che vivono sugli alberi. 3. Strato sotto-canopy: Arbusti e piante che preferiscono ombra, come le palme e begonie. 4. Strato del suolo: Felci e piante erbacee che crescono vicino al suolo, grazie alla continua decomposizione della materia organica. La vegetazione è dominata da alberi sempreverdi, liane e piante da fiore colorate, con adattamenti come foglie larghe e cerose per raccogliere luce e resistere alle piogge. Fauna
La fauna della foresta pluviale è estremamente ricca e varia, con animali adattati a un ambiente caldo e umido. Tra i mammiferi ci sono scimmie arboree come le scimmie urlatrici e giaguari; tra gli uccelli spiccano ara e tucano. Le foreste ospitano anche rane velenose, boe constrictor, camaleonti e coccodrilli. Gli insetti come le formiche tagliafoglie e termite sono essenziali per l’ecosistema, mentre nei fiumi vivono piranha e pesci gatto.
