Shintoismo 神道,

Lo shintoismo (神道, Shintō) è la religione tradizionale del Giappone, centrata sulla venerazione dei kami. Il termine "shinto" significa letteralmente "la via degli dèi" ed esprime una profonda connessione spirituale con il mondo naturale. Lo shintoismo non ha fondatori, testi sacri specifici o dogmi definitivi.

Il sincretismo è il processo attraverso il quale diverse tradizioni religiose, culturali o filosofiche si mescolano e si influenzano reciprocamente. In ambito religioso, il sincretismo si può manifestare nell'integrazione di pratiche o credenze di religioni diverse, che convivono o si combinano in modo armonioso. Un esempio è la coesistenza di cerimonie di matrimonio shintoiste, nelle preghiere per i defunti buddhiste.
