LONDON
London it's situated in the south-east of England and it is the capital and the most important city of the UK.It's got a population of over 8 million. You can travel around London by bus,by taxi or by underground.
ATTRACTIONS AND MONUMENTS
London it's very famous for its monuments,museums and parks. One of its most popular park is the Hyde Park,where you can have a picnic or just relax.
Its most important tourist attractions are: -Big Ben -The London Eye - Buckingham Palace -The Tower Bridge -The Tower of London
BIG BEN
Big Ben is the name of the biggest bell in the clock tower.Its name comes from his maker, Benjamin Hall. It is the symbol of the city and it's over 150 years old.
THE LONDON EYE
The London Eye is a panoramic wheel.It's 135 metres high, and from the top you can get a fantastic view of London.
BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the royal family. Every morning you can see the cerimony of the changing of the guard at the main gate of the palace.
TOWER BRIDGE
The Tower Bridge is the most famous bridge in London. It started operating in 1894. It opens to let ships go up and down the river.
THE TOWER OF LONDON
The Tower of London is a very significant castle in London. It's near Tower Bridge and in the past it was a royal residence, a prison and a zoo.
