I AM NOT A RACIST BUT...

introduction here

RACISM IS SOMETHING YOU LEARN NOT SOMETHING YOU ARE BORN WITH

Racism is discrimination and prejudice towards people based on their race or ethnicity. In the word today there are many skin types, BLACK OR WHITE,YELLOW OR BROWN. You should not look at people with a frown WE ARE ALL THE SAME. Also racism is TREATING SOMEONE DIFFERENTLY OR UNPAIRLY BECAUSE THEY BELONG TO A DIFFERENT ETHANIC COMUNITY,RELIGION OR NATIONALITY. Racism comes from a belief that one ethnic community is superior to others communities. This can lead to abusive or aggressive behaviour towards members of another community on the basis of such a belief. IT COMES FROM IGNORANCE AND FEAR BROUGHT ON BY STEREOTYPES. Stopping racism is very difficult because you cannot force people what to think but there are some things you can do.

WHEN IT WILL END?
WHY DOES IT EXIST?

WHAT IS RACISM?

Discrimination must be fought. All these actions must be carried out by the authorities, like the police and the judiciary. This phenomenon is hard to end because it is contained within the human race. Thanks to values like a solidarity, tolerance and respect for diversity we can live in a non-racist society and we can stop racism. School plays an important role, as activities or educational opportunities, for the value of diversity. At school, some kind of lessons are organized to learn how to live with others.

What we can do for stop RACISM?

EVIDENCES OF THE PROBLEM

Paola Egonu has Nigerian parents but she was born in Italy, she grew up facing challenges related to her racial identity. Her skin colour subjected her to discrimination, since she was a child. She remembers that her teacher told her that black people like her, smell. Although she faced many obstacles in her youth she found comfort and success in playing volleyball. She has become an advocate for social change and inclusivity. Growing up her parents taught her that she shouldnt respond to racism and to be superior. They also said that she should never put her hands in her bag while in a shop to avoid being accused to theft , indeed she said that even today she waits to leave a shop before sending a message.

EVIDENCES OF THE PROBLEM

Still in the sport world football was created to connect people together but racism ruined it. An example of this is Marcus Vinicius, a brasilian football player who is a victim of racial abuse.Last month four people were arrested over allegedly conducting an online campaign of hate and racism against him The campaign is said to have encouraged supporters to racially abuse Vinicius.

If i was a politician, I would promote the values of tolerance, solidarity of respect for diversity. I would encounrage a citizenship that has more attention and regard to cultural diversity.

What I would do if I was a politician

➙ORGANIZE CONFERENCES: Organize conferences or meetings would help to have a better vision of how racism is spreading or reducing.

➙PHONE NUMBER: We could create a phone number that everyone can call and serves as a reference point. This could help people to report a racism behaviour they have suffered or about other people.

➙REINFORCEMENT OF LAWS:Reinforce the laws against racism would help to develop a sens of order. For example the police forces could pay more attention to the problem and to apply monetary sanctions for those who have a behaviour against ethnic groups.

➙EDUCATION:Promoting education about diversity, inclusion and respect from a young age helps break down stereotypes and prejudices. We could perform it in schools with lessons organized by teachers and psycologists.
