Acadenum is a story of excellence that has been going on since 1998. In its 26 years of existence, our school has established itself as the benchmark for education technology training. Acadenum owes this status to a unique teaching method that has been tried and tested over time, with no lectures, no tests and no revision. Its director, Rachel Rizacha, realised in the early 2000s that employees were having great difficulty mastering IT and digital tools. Based on the principles of social constructivism, our institution promotes active and collaborative learning, in which learners construct their knowledge in interaction with their environment and their peers. Inspired by the work of Piaget and Vygotski, it favours a framework in which exchange plays a central role in the development of each individual. Vygotski, in particular, proposed the concept of the Proximal Development Zone (PDZ), which refers to the gap between what a student can achieve on their own and what they can achieve with the help of a teacher or more experienced peers. From this perspective, the teacher becomes a guide, facilitating critical thinking and problem solving, and creating a stimulating social environment where knowledge is built through exchanges and collective projects.
