Heartstopper, initially a webcomic, nowadays published as comic books, and also a serie (in Netflix), divided in 5 volumes, is a YA Novel of Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring as they meet and fall in love. The comics are an expanded adaption of Oseman’s 2015 Novel “Nick and Charlie”

Charlie and Nick study at the same school but have never met, until the day they are forced to sit next to each other. They quickly become friends, even though their lifestyles are different. Charlie begins to fall for Nick, even though he doesn't think he has a chance. Charlie's friends think that Nick would never talk to him with any intention other than to make fun of him. But love works in surprising ways, and sometimes good things are right next door. Nick discovers that Charlie is trapped in an abusive relationship, so he helps him break free, and from then on their friendship continues to grow day by day. This is the first volume of Heartstopper, the award-winning comic book (Goodreads Choice Awards 2020) by Alice Oseman.

She is currently 30 years old and her first publication was at the age of 19, with her first novel, Solitaire, published in 2014. Alice Oseman is an award-winning author, illustrator, and screenwriter who has won awards such as the Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Teen Series.
