THE STORY OF THE FIRST THANKSGIVING
THANKSGIVING DINNER FOOD (USA)
Each year, on Thanksgiving day, a huge parade takes place in the streets of New York City. There are giant helium-filled balloons, marching bands, songs and muscial performances Families watch it on TV.
MACY'S DAY PARADE
Each year, the President of the United States receives a gift of two live turkeys. At a White House ceremony, the president traditionally "pardons" the turkey so they can live on a farm.
TURKEY PARDON
In Puerto Rico, every school, some universities and companies have a "Running Turkey Race". Whoever finishes in first place, wins a turkey to take home!
THANKSGIVING DAY RACE!
Most families play games and sports together like "American Football". They also decorate the house for Christmas, and go gift shopping on Black Friday.
