01
How is sound produced?
Sound is a type of energy made by vibrations. When an object vibrates, it causes movement in surrounding air molecules. These molecules bump into the molecules close to them, causing them to vibrate as well. This makes them bump into more nearby air molecules.

02
What kind of matters can sound waves travel through?
Sound is a form of energy that is caused by the vibration of matter. Sound is transmitted through waves, which travel through solids, liquids and gases.
seguir
03
Which matter can sound waves travel faster through?
Sound travels fastest through solids. This is because molecules in a solid medium are much closer together than those in a liquid or gas, allowing sound waves to travel more quickly through it. In fact, sound waves travel over 17 times faster through steel than through air.

04
Two differences between sound and noise. Draw sound waves and noise waves.
Sounds can be used to communicate, warn, navigate and as a form of entertainment. Noise is an unwanted or unpleasant sound. Therefore, all noises are sounds while not all sounds are noises. People may perceive sounds and noise differently.

05
What is NOISE POLLUTION?
Not all sound is considered noise pollution. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines noise above 65 decibels (dB) as noise pollution. To be precise, noise becomes harmful when it exceeds 75 decibels (dB) and is painful above 120 dB.

Ways you can REDUCE NOISE POLLUTION
1.Turn off Appliances at Home and offices. 2.Shut the Door when using noisy Machines. 3.Use Earplugs. 4.Lower the volume. 5.Stay away from Noisy area.

What is a Sonometer? How does it work?
Sonometer is the name for a tool used to measure sound waves. The device is used to show the connection between the tension, length, and mass per unit length of the string and the frequency of the sound it makes when it is pulled. The transverse standing wave of the string is what produces the sound.
