Physical wellbeing is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. It includes taking care of our bodies and recognizing that our daily habits and behaviours have a significant impact on our overall health

PRACTICE

This Mental well-being refers to how we feel, think, and behave. It is about being in a good state of mind and being able to cope with life's challenges. A person with good mental well-being usually feels happy, confident, and positive. They are able to manage stress and handle tough situations without feeling overwhelmed. Mental well-being also involves having good relationships with others and feeling connected to the people around you. It's important to take care of our mental health by doing things we enjoy, staying active, and talking to others when we need help. When our mental well-being is good, we are more likely to enjoy life and feel motivated to reach our goals is ready to be filled with incredible creativity, experiences, and stories.

  • Make a self-care kit and filled with things that normally comfort you and help you relax. For example, you could include your favourite book, pictures or photos, a stress ball or fidget toy and a comforting blanket or slippers.
  • Find ways to learn and be creative like drawing, taking photos or baking
  • Spend time in nature
  • Focus on the present, you can use techniques such as meditation or breathing exercises.
  • Do something you enjoy, try to make time to do an activity you like on a regular basis. This could be listening music dancing, getting in touch with a friend or watching TV.
  • Try to improve your sleep, take a break if you need to

When we're students, we forget to take care about our mental and physical health since we give more importance to school, this shouldn't be, there must be a balance and remember that it isn't bad if we take a break.- Juliette

I'm Andrea Juliette González Castro and I'm a local student in physiotherapy at the ENES LEON. I like to listen music, swimming and ride a bike.

We chose this topic because as health personnel, we see that people only want to improve their health when they're sick and it should'nt be like that, we should always do things for our health even if we aren't sick. It's better to prevent!

Meal Planning: You can cook your own meals. Is an excellent nutriotinal and economical choice, but you should planning your meal beforehand and you can try cook your food in bigger batches and keep them in the fridge.

Limiting unhealthy food and beverages: You must avoid the junk eating and sugary drinks but if you enjoy the "snacks" you can replace with healthier versions of them. For example: You can replace the sweet bread with amaranth cookies with jam or you can replace the fries with homemade popcorn.

It’s knowing how to navigate healthcare and understanding what your body needs, not only when you are sick, but also to prevent illness and injury. The physical health can be affected in different ways:

  • Depending on each individual's lifestyle
  • The environment in which they live or work
  • The genetics they have
  • The medical advice they receive.

Hi, my name is Melissa Camarena Cordero. I’m a fourth-year physiotherapy student. One of my favorite hobbies is spending time with my nephew, playing and having fun together. I also enjoy playing soccer, which is another activity that brings me a lot of joy.

Find something you like: If you don´t enjoy the usual excercising like to go to the gym there are many options you can opt for. For example: you can replace with yoga, zumba, pilates or dancing.
