Talking about vacations

When and where was the last place you traveled to?

Past simple – regular/irregular verbs

Last summer, I traveled to Cancun, a beautiful city in Mexico. I went with my best friend, Ana. We decided to go in July because the weather was perfect. We stayed there for one week and enjoyed every moment. We booked a small hotel near the beach. The rooms looked simple, but they were very clean and comfortable. Every morning, we woke up to the sound of the waves. We visited the famous Mayan ruins of Tulum and learned about the history of the area. We also spent time at Playa Delfines , where we swam, relaxed, and took many pictures. On our last day, we went shopping in the local markets and boughtsouvenirs for our families.
