- Nanotechnology is defined as the science of manufacturing and manipulating microscopical particules such as atoms and molecules,at the nanoscale.

Water purification
- Nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes can be used to filter and purify water by removing contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, and bacteria.
- Nanotechnology can be used in air filtration systems to remove pollutants, such as particulate matter, and greenhouse gases.
Air quality improvement
The toxicity of nano materials.
- Some nanomaterials may be toxic to living organisms. Due to their small size, nanoparticles can enter cells and tissues easily,causing health harms.
- In the future nanotechnology can be very promising,adressing issues like climate changes,lack of natural resources,polluted environments,etc.
- However,this application will require a lot of research,time and management to ensure that it benefits both the environment and society in the long term.
- Nanoparticles may interfere with the processes of microorganisms in soil or water, potentially, harming biodiversity. It could also affect the growth of different organisms, leading to negative effects on entire ecosystems.
