The Ethical case of

Imagine a routine consultation with your surgeon who tells you he's a world renowned neurosurgeon who can fix all of your ailments with just one surgery. Giving you the ability to get back to your once active self only to find yourself submerged in what can only be reffered to as the living nightmare: post anesthesia. This case will send chills down your spine.

Introduction

Dr. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who's god complex, drug use and inability to follow policy lead to the dismemberment of 30 plus people and death of at least 2 known patients

Christopher got away with his actions because no hospital wanted the liability of admitting a surgeon of their facility cost someone their ability to walk or their life. Allowing him to resign in good standing each time

After a fall from a ladder, following countless hours of physical therapy and muslce relaxers, her primary doctor recommended Dr. Duntsch for the correction on a herniated disk

Little did they know, that Kellie wouldn't make it out of this surgery after Duntsch severed a major artery causing Kellie to bleed out.

Jerry was a close friend of Dr. Duntsch- even floating him financially as he was between hospitals. They even took a deep dive into the world of drugs and partying together

In 2011, following a car wreck Summers allowed Duntsch to perform a vertebrae fusion that was set to ease his chronic pain. Instead, he ended up a quadriplegic following excessive bleeding and damage to the spine and nerves.

Dr. Death jumped from hospital to hospital leaving a trail of distruction in his path. Hospitals overlooked his behaviors to cover their own neglegant behavior. Families lives were forever changed by a doctor who refused to ask for help, accept his short comings and work with his team to produce satisfactory results. Instead, Christopher adopted a God complex which ruined the lives of over 30 patients along with their families. The most horrifying part is that there are more Christopher Duntsch's in the world.
