Step 2

You will be contacted by the host university, which will help you organise your short stay and your participation in the online activities.

Grant amount

HOW CAN I APPLY TO A COURSE?

Erasmus+ short term mobility grant amount

The Erasmus grant, dedicated to physical mobility, is made up of an individual support (each day of activity at the host university + travel days) and a travel support. 70% of the grant is paid before departure once the ‘pre-mobility’ documents have been completed and the remainder once the ‘post-mobility’ documents have been completed.

Disseminating knowledge

In a spirit of disseminating knowledge to as many people as possible, part of the distance learning courses will be available to all the university's students, freely and without academic prerequisites. This open content will take the form of online conferences or webinars.

Inclusion support

Criteria is defined at national level by the Erasmus+ National Agencies and National Authorities. The list of criteria vary then from one country to the other. Please get in touch with your International office to find out more information.

Green travel

Your travel is considered ‘green’ if you travel to and from the destination using one of the following means of transport:

  • train
  • bus
  • carpooling
  • bicycle
  • on foot
  • with another green mean of transport (excluding plane, boat, car or motorcycle).

Academic recognition

Selected students will be exempted from one course in their degree programme and will take part in a Focus Academy course instead. This substitutable course is identified by the teachers responsible for the degree, who communicate this information to their selected students. They will have their participation in the Focus Academy course recognised in their degree.

Open to all

The courses focus on cross-disciplinary skills and knowledge, and are open to all university students, whatever their degree or level of study (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate). These courses offer an opportunity for international experience to all, including those who are unable or unwilling to undertake a long-term stay abroad.

Hybrid format

Focus Academy courses are in hybrid format. This means that part of the course is distance learning, and part is face-to-face. You will be able to follow the courses on Moodle (or equivalent at the host university). During the semester, all NEOLAiA students taking part in the courses meet up at the host university for one week physical mobility. This mobility is eligible for Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) funding.
