• He was born on 18 July 1918;
• Place: Mvezo, Eastern Cape, South African Union;
• Father: Nkosi Mandela;
• Mother: Nosekeni Fanny;
• Mandela had 12 brothers;

He studied English, Anthropology, Politics, Native Administration, Roman Law and Dutch.
