CONCEPTO Y APLICACIONES DEL INTERNET DE LAS COSAS (IoT)

¿Qué es IoT y dónde podemos aplicarlo?

El internet de las cosas o IoT, es el proceso que permite conectar los elementos físicos cotidianos al Internet.

TECNOLOGÍAS ACTUALES

Las ultimas novedades en la tecnología dentro del IOT pueden ser varias:

• IA

• Edge computing

• BIG DATA

• Realidad aumentada

Se encarga de almacenar y gestionar una fuente de datos masiva que nos proporciona el IOT

Permite a los sistemas del IoT detectar patrones e irregularidades que otros dispositivos sin la IA no son capaces de hallar. Esta, permite tomar el flujo constante de los dispositivos IoT.

Es un nuevo modelo de computación en el que los datos del IoT son procesados en la cercanía de la red (cloud edge), en la misma fuente que los genera o tan cerca como sea posible

Es un tipo de tecnología que utiliza la combinación de elementos virtuales con el entorno físico.

Son dispositivos electrónicos que funcionan cómo accesorios

USOS:

Estos dispositivos se dividen en tres grupos

Médicos: En este caso los wereables se utilizan para recolectar infromación sobre aspectos cómo el rendimiento cardiaco, la temepratura corporal , tensión... atraves de los sensores que llevan los relojes o en las pulseras

Científico: Se emplea para conocer más a otros seres vivos, como por ejemplo la impantacíon de brazaletes con GPS colocados a especies en peligro de extinción del conocimiento de su estado y ubicación, los científicos obtienen la data necesaria para preservar las especieso, sirve de gran ayuda también para saber más sobre sus habilidades sociales y comportamientos

Entretenimiento: esta diseño para facilitar el acceso a distintos tipos de ocio podemos verlo por ejemplo en algunos relojes que te dejan acceder facilmente a plataformas como netflix o prime video

¿Cómo podemos proteger nuestros dispositivos de posibles amenazas?

La seguridad de IoT y Weareables conlleva la protección de los dispositivos de internet y las redes a las que están conectados de las amenazas en línea y las filtraciones de datos

1. Uso de contraseñas seguras y únicas para evitar el acceso no autorizado
2. Usar protocolos y estándares de seguridad
3. Actualizar el software y el firmware
4. Configurar la privacidad y el acceso
5. Desactivar o desconectar los dispositivos que no se usen

Una de las cosas que seran imprescindibles en el futuro del IOT seran los avances en las protección y protocolos de seguridad,la autentificación de los dispositivos o la detección de amenazas en tiempo real

Nuevas aplicaciones y tendencias

Las nuevas aplicaciones en el IOT serán el diseño de la experiencia del usuario (UX), nuevos algoritmos, nuevos sensores, contextos y experiencias sociales detectables.
