Justification

A large group of learners were given a task to design and fabricate a small pipe spool. The criteria was that it has to act as a weight for lifting equipment such as "Farmers Walks". This meant that there are four spools to fabricate. The group was then divided into four smaller groups and they then had to work together to design the right spools that would fit on the equipment and more importantly all be (Roughly) the same weight.

Task

The groups decided on making a straight pipe spool with a weld neck flange on either end. This meant that the pipe lengths needed to be that same, they will need a prep on each end and they will also need to be welded.

Fabricate

Each learner must create evidence of what has been fabricated. this can be by way of Photo's and/or videos submitted.

Evidence

Each learner must complete a detailed method statement of the completed job with all aspects of health and safety adhered to, lists of PPE and tools and equipment with an in depth description of how the work was carried out.
