Elon Musk is currently the largest shareholder of Tesla as well as the CEO, and the owner of the social media app X. He is currently one of the richest and most influential people in the world. As a CEO you need to have an excellent understanding of the company's daily operations as well as how you will take this company forward. You also need to be able to speak to the board of directors. Elon has had a track record of producing high-value companies and even greatly improving massive companies. Musk originally started out as a co-founder of PayPal and after selling that company to eBay for 1.5 billion dollars he created a company called SpaceX. This was the first privately funded firm to launch satellites to orbit around Earth. A couple of years later he became an early investor in the company he is now the CEO of a company called Tesla. Since Elons promotion to CEO of Tesla, this company has begun to skyrocket in value now having a value of over 1 trillion dollars. Later on in Musk's career he decided to take on new challenges and bought the app formerly known as Twitter for 44 billion dollars and completely restructured the company to operate at better efficiency.

I consider Musk to be a "front line" as he puts in long hours of work to achieve these very ambitious and seemingly unimaginable goals. He is a very ambitious leader who takes very calculated risks that always seem to pan out. He imagines himself in every facet of the business and thinks about how could we individually improve each part of this sector to improve the company as a whole. This is why I believe he is the perfect CEO.
Elon Musk would be an amazing CEO with a very proven track record. As mentioned in the previous slide any company Elon has ever poured into seems to become substantially wealthy. This is due to his very smart understanding of the business and technological worlds. With our company dealing heavily with the reliance on technology it is important to have a CEO that can understand not just the financials but the intricacies of the technology within the company as well.

'The most valuable thing you can have as a leader is clear data'-Ruth Porat
Working at Google Ruth Porat is always around cutting-edge technology giving her an understanding of the technology within our business. Ruth would mainly be closely working with the CEO. Ruth and Elon Musk would work very well as Musk is a very ambitious leader who sets hard to reach goals while Porat is a risk management expert who will make sure these risky goals by musk can be achieved within a sustainable financial framework.

Gwynne Shotwell is the current COO of Elon Musk's company SpaceX. Gwynne was originally an automotive engineer before graduating from North Western to join an aerospace corporation in California where she spent 10 years before heading to SpaceX. She also had a short stint at a company called Microcosm where she was a spacecraft developer. A chief operating officer (COO) is responsible for handling the overall operations of the company making this position one of the most important. A COO needs to have a deep understanding of the processes the company uses on a day-to-day basis. While also knowing how to work and operate the services the company provides. They are responsible for translating the CEO's strategy into actual on-the-ground actions. They work very hand and hand with the CEO.

Becoming an engineer before ever taking a managerial role is something very important for choosing her as the COO of the company. This displays she understands what is going on with very technologically advanced instruments and overall has an understanding of how to run them. This backed by her decades of experience in managerial roles and result oriented managment style proves why she's the perfect choice.
WHY
GWYNNE
Coming from SpaceX, Gwyeen and Elon have a proven track record of working well together. This is a crucial importamnce for this position as in her COO role she will mainly be communicating with the CEO of the company. She is what breaks down Musk's broad ideas into day to day operations.

David Fairhurst was the former CHRO of the international fast food place McDonalds. Although he is not a current CHRO he is now the CEO of his own company called OrgShakers. Which is an organization of leading HR consultants. During his time at McDonalds, he was over nearly 2 million employees on a much larger scale than what he would be at for this company. "For four consecutive years, David was voted ‘Most Influential Practitioner’ by HR Magazine, receiving their lifetime achievement award in 2012. He was also the first HR professional to be named ‘Business Communicator of the Year’ by the Institute of Internal Communications". He is credited as one of the key leaders who turned around McDonalds. CHROs are responsible for bringing the right people into the company and helping maintain and grow their roles and talents within the organization. They provide executives with strong ways to help organize and use employees to the best of their abilities.

I believe David would be a perfect pick for CHRO as he has a proven and well-respected track record in the business community. Leading nearly 2 million employees at McDonald's is one of the hardest things humanly possible to do. Being at such a large company like McDonald's he has a very well understanding of the global perspective. As well as seeing how to maintain a high-growth environment from the very bottom.
WHYDAVID
Elon's ambitious goals require very talented employees. Seeing the progress David had at McDonalds he has the perfect skills to find and acquire these talented employees. Musk also has a work style for employees that tends to burn them out, with David's people-first approach he can ensure employees are engaged and motivated.

'Your organizations problem solving frontier includes areas of growth, continous improvement, and innovation' -Atif Rafiq
I have chosen Atif Rafiq to become the CDO of my company. Atif comes from the widely known high-tech Silicon Valley companies in California. He has been a tech innovator for over 25 years and has even started his own company called Ritual. Atif is a pioneer of the CDO position becoming the first CDO position in Fortune 500 companies. This opportunity like David Fairhurst came from Mcdonald's where he became their CDO and then later on after creating billions of dollars in new revenue came to Volvo to continue to grow their company from that CDO position as well. A CDO or (Chief Developing Officer) is responsible for leading an organization's fundraising and growth initiatives. They do this by securing funding streams from investors and corporate partners, while also implementing strategies to improve donor relations which in turn improves their investments.

I feel like Atif is the only right answer to put into the CDO spot how can you get much better than the man who created the role in these companies to begin with? He has also built a massive following on the website LinkedIn providing various investors with quick and easy access to our own CDO. Being the original creator of this role you build the foundation of connections and driven personality needed to get these investors in our company and have them continue to invest and grow not alone but with us. He also has said he recognizes the change AI is bringing to everything with this mindset he will be perfect for using these new technologies to help us grow as a company. Musk would work well with Atif as they are both known for changing the traditional norms of a business through digital tools. He also would work very well with David Fairhurst seeing they both have a background in the McDonalds C-Suite.
