GOAL NUMBER 12

Ensuring sustainable production and consumption patterns

What is goal 12?

Goal 12 promotes the implementation of the UN 10-year program for sustainable consumption and production. The aim is to adopt an environmentally friendly approach to chemicals and waste. The volume of waste is to be significantly reduced, among other things through recovery. Food waste is to be halved. Businesses are to be encouraged to adopt sustainable business management. In addition, public procurement is to be based on sustainability criteria.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE GOAL 12 ACHIEVEABLE?

To make the goal real we can start by not wasting too much water, trying to buy the bare minimum without indulging in useless vices, trying not to always buy big brands but also buy at the market or second-hand clothes that are not too used

Is goal 12 really that important?

Goal 12 calls for a stop to consumerism, therefore trying to be more sustainable both for environmental and personal reasons.
