My volunteering at Portuguese Red Cross

What is the PRC?

The Portuguese Red Cross is a humanitarian institution that was funded at 11/February/1865 and it is a part of the Red Cross International Movement that as the objective of defende the peace and the human dignity.

At PRC I volunteered at food stores and distributors where, for a month, I collected and distributed food to people in need. I was also able to donate some clothes and goods to less fortunate people

What was my work at PRC?

I think that my work has helped many people in need or less fortunate because the food distributed will be useful for many families and people. I also think that volunteering helped me grow as a person because I can see how even the smallest things that I take for granted can be something very important and precious to other people.
