Links with Universities
We have several links with universities and see this as an excellent relationship that benefits everyone involved. The Social Work team have students here on placement and also get invited into Gloucester University to talk on Social Work in palliative care. The Counselling team have students here from Worcester University and as they progress through the years need different levels of experience which we can provide. Occasionally, someone enjoys working here so much that they then volunteer here once they graduate and we gain a fully qualified counsellor. Our Complementary Therapy team have had a link also with Worcester University and carried out a joint research project over the last few years which is about to be published. We also host Music and Art Psychotherapy students here from University of South Wales, Newport.
