Andrew Carnegie

Hello my name is Andrew Carnegie and I was born on the 25th of November 1835 in Dunfermline, Scotland. When I was twelve years old my father decided to immigrate to Pittsburg in USA to have better living conditions . My first job in the USA was is the textile industry and after that, I worked in a company manufacturing sleeping cars for the railway industry . The American civil war happened and the demand increased for steel based object such as railways rails or iron bridge so I decided to create my own steelworks in 1892: The Carnegie company. The years passed and my company worked very well because it was the first American steel company of the 19th century . When I got to the age of 66 years, I decided to sell my metallurgical empire to John pierpont Morgan for 480 million dollars..Before my death I gave away about 350 millions dollars of my fortune to associations, and my family did not profit from it at all. It is also why I am remembered as a great philanthropist. That is how my life ended.
