What is HydroElectric energy?
hydroelectric energy is the process of taking fast moving water and making energy out of it

HOW WILL HYDROELECTRICITY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE
According to what we researched, we think hydroelectricity will evolve into a mix of solar and hydroelectrical energy with this concept:
- Floating solar panels would be placed in water bodies to optimize the production area of this method, this combined systems maximize energy production with an efficient and large eco-friendly power production facility, this would also mean that with the energy generated this way, we could enhance other hydroelectrical facilities.
- Projections: This method is already in use, though its expected to grow significantly in the next decade, this would also allow to get more energy to enhance other energy production methods.
ADJACENT POPULATION
unfortunately the population surrounding often experiences worse economic experiences, population relocation, and loss of green areas. this is because dams in general have negative natural and social impacts on the citizens nearby, they weaken the power of the citizens decision making and they only benefit the capital.
BIODIVERSITY
Unfortunately, damming a river (the only way to set up the hydroelectricity process) creates a reservoir disrupting the surrounding ecosystems. this happens because it can catch sediment, burying rock riverbeds where fish hatch.
Best places in Mexico for hydroelectric energy
The best places in Mexico would be:
- Chiapas
- Guerrero
- Veracruz
- Jalisco
this is because these are the places with the best accesibility to water and places with a lot of greenery and rivers, which are essential for the use of hydroelectricity
DISADVANTAGES
- must be dammed, if it is not then it will impact the fish
- limited locations
- high initial costs
- highly impacted by droughts
- if done incorrectly, it could cause a major flood
- carbon and methane emissions
Video explenation
ADVANTAGES
- it does not contaminate water
- it is a flexible and sustainable resource
- reduces the risks of floods
- helps reclaim marshy areas
- preventing intermittency therefore stabilizing the power grid
- improves tourist areas and water sports
ATMOSPHERE
hydropower, unlike fossil fuels does not contribute to global warming and air pollution, which makes it better than those who use fossil fuels, but, it does emit carbon dioxide while in development.
Places in the world where its currently used
The some of the places where it´s used in the world are:
- China
- Brazil
- Canada
- Usa
- India
The Three Georges Dam is the world's biggest hydroelectric dam
