Mais ce n'est pas un cristal automorphe, il est constitué de plusieurs autres minéraux.

La roche observé est un minéral car elle à une formule chimique, elle est constituée d'atommes elle est définie sur une structure cristalline d'éfinie par une maille élémentaire répétée.

La formule chimique du quartz est Si4+O2- donc deux ions d'oxygène et 4 atome de silicium.
  1. La roche a différente nuance de gris allant du gris claire au gris très foncé allant même jusqu'au noir vue au microscope
  2. Minéral à l’aspect de gros sel Incolore à gris à vue d'eoil
  3. Le minéral est incolore, très limpide. Les sections sont globuleuses ou grossièrement hexagonales à crêtes émoussées vue au microscope
