What's in a 30 min. Newscast?
- 70% of all stories are UNDER 1 minute
What's could be in a 10 min. Broadcast
Television scripts use what's called a split page.
The right half mimics what anchors see on their prompters. It tells them what to say, when to say it and what's being shown on-camera from moment to moment.
The left half displays technical details -- for audio, video and graphics -- used by the production crew.
Some TV Stations use ALL CAPS all the time. Some use CAPS for narration, lowercase for sound bites. CAPS are easier to read from prompters several yards away.
