When?

Students can apply as soon as IST email to advise that the successful completion of their degree is confirmed to the Home Office.

What?

The Graduate Route Visa allows eligible students to stay in the UK for a further 2 years (3 for PHD) after completing their degree to work or seek work.

When to contact IST?

Award achieved

IST will confirm a student's completion within 10 working days of the student receiving their final results. If the student doesn't get an email to confirm this after 10 working days, they should contact IST using the online form.

Student with educational debt when their results are conferred will not receive their award nor will their successful completion be confirmed to the Home Office. Students need to clear their debt and then contact IST to request the confirmation be sent to the Home Office.

The Graduate Route visa is only available for students who receive an award that is degree level or above. Students who receive a PG certificate of PG Diploma will not be eligible for the Graduate Route Visa.
