Tool/Stategy Chosen
Educational Tools being used: Microsoft Teams, Nearpod, Pearassessment, GoGuardian and Canvas. For mentee Microsoft teams was suggested for better organization for her classes and assigments given to students online any test or Quizzes she may give can all be held on teams. Neapod for more interactive lessons for students to where in real time they can share their thoughts on topics and whether or not they understand what was taught. Goguardian also played a major key because mentee could make sure students did stray off from the task at hand. Canvas was also suggested to Mentee similiar to teams. Teams was more conveinent and easier for mentee to work.
Stategy Chosen: The strategy that was chosen for mentee was as follows: 1. Mentee choose from software/hardware that she was familiar with and could understand how to function. 2. Give Mentee approriate time to get better acculated in using educational tools, know the ends and outs. 3. Make mentee take a risk and use an educational program/tool that they are not used to for them to step out of the box, would be avalible for any questions. 4. For mentee to understand that with all technology you may run into problems and you may have to troubleshoot. "It is not the end of the World everything will be fine!"

Key articles that played a big part in Coaching Decisions
The second article was "How to Encourage Teachers to Use Technology" The article outlines strategies to help teachers embrace technology by emphasizing collaboration, demonstrating practical benefits, and providing ongoing support. It suggests starting with manageable tools, aligning technology with instructional goals, and fostering a safe environment for experimentation. By the end of our coaching sessions, I hope that my Mentee will be fully confident in using technology in the class and provide support to other teachers at her school who may need some coaching or tech support. She can use the same approach that was used with her and that it taking things one step at a step and answering endless questions.
While researching what would be the best direction to go in leading my Mentee i ran across two very good articles. One was titled " How to Get Hesitant Teachers to Use Educational Technology" The article offers strategies to help hesitant teachers embrace technology, emphasizing small, meaningful steps and personalized support. It suggests integrating tools aligned with teachers' goals, providing peer-led demonstrations, and offering autonomy in experimentation. These methods build confidence and foster ownership of new practices. It also mentioned a bit of data concerning teachers straying away from tech and what they needed. In my coaching i really took the intiative to take small meaningful steps and not to rush mentee into using a program she was not comfortable using.
