Creativity
Padlet
Padlet is a website that focuses on PICRAT; student engagement with technology. Intentionally planning and using technology in your lesson to incorporate engagement and collaboration will enhance learning experiences and make the technology more purposeful.
Change
Personalized learning
Personalized Learning tailors experiences to meet the needs, interests and abilities of each learner. Personalized learning can signficantly impact learning outcomes.
Innovation
Flipped learning
Innovative technology involves using technology to enhance learning experiences and create more personalized and accessible opportunities. A flipped classroom model is one way to make for a more innovative classroom, and one that a lot of teachers are doing in one form or another.
Innovation
hands on learning
Giving students hands on learning experiences such as creating a real world problems, allow students to engaging in a collaborative space, symbolizing innovation and imagination.
Innovation
flexible leARNING SPACEs
A collaborative and flexible learning space offers a lot of benefits for students to create a place where learning is engaging, adaptive and inclusive. It encourages collaboration, engagement, creativity and problem-solving.
Innovation
Tpack
TPACK resonates with me because it helps align learning objectives with engaging tools and strategies to meet all students needs. This will help create lessons that are most beneficial to students.
Creativity
Digital stories
There are many different building blocks of PICRAT. It evaluates how technology enhances student engagement and transforms teaching. Creating a digital story allows students to be interactive and creative.
How can we use technology in our classroom to make learning more exciting/unique, rather than using it to replace what you normally do? Is there something you are currently doing? Something you wish to do?
Change
exploration station
Within design thinking, learners and educators need to engage in exploring different materials and thoughts, and reflect. Having an exploration station in your classroom can allow students to use and explore new tools and reflect throughout the process during the station.
What is one way you can encourage brainstorming and reflection in your classroom?
Creativity
trial and error
Planning engaging lessons is a process. You will need to make detours and changes to find the correct aides and supports to allow all learners to be engaged in activities.
Are there any supports or aides you find useful and include in most of your lessons to support your learners?
Change
Khan Academy
Technology is powerful. Ways to incorporate powerful technology into your classroom is using interactive platforms (Nearpod), adaptive learning tools (Khan Academy), or creation tools (Canva). By choosing intentional tools and implementing safety measures, technology becomes transformative.
What are some websites you use in your classroom that foster powerful and safe technology?
Closing Statement
Technology has the power to transform the classroom into an area where creativity, innovation and change thrive. It allows students to explore ideas in new ways, collaborate with others, and create projects that bring imaginations to life.
