Goal-Based Design

• Begins with the mission of the school or district
• Asks what the learners should be learning
• Evaluates the role of activity- based learning in the curriculum
• Looks at possible technology tools and strategies

• Starts with Exit Outcomes
• Looks at program objectives
• Evaluates the desired progression of learning
• Looks at the learning activities that the students will perform

• A mixture of Goal-Based and "Design-Down, Deliver-Up" methods
• Starts with the Texas state standards (the TEKS)
• Includes both teacher and student options.
• Formative and Summarive assessments regularly
