Goal-Based Design
- Begins with the mission of the school or district
- Asks what the learners should be learning
- Evaluates the role of activity- based learning in the curriculum
- Looks at possible technology tools and strategies
- Starts with Exit Outcomes
- Looks at program objectives
- Evaluates the desired progression of learning
- Looks at the learning activities that the students will perform
- A mixture of Goal-Based and "Design-Down, Deliver-Up" methods
- Starts with the Texas state standards (the TEKS)
- Includes both teacher and student options.
- Formative and Summarive assessments regularly
