Structure of the Future Simple

In English, the simple future tense is formed using the auxiliary "will" followed by the base of the main verb in its infinitive form (without "to").

Basic structure:

Afirmative: Sujeto + will + Verbo base (sin "to") Ejemplo: I will study (Yo estudiaré). She will go (Ella irá).

Negative: Sujeto + will not (o la contracción won't) + Verbo base Ejemplo: I will not (won't) study (Yo no estudiaré). He will not (won't) come (Él no vendrá).

Uses of the Future Simple in English

*Predicted or planned future actions:It is used to talk about something that will happen in the future without the need for detailed planning.Example:I will visit my grandmother next week. (I will visit my grandmother next week.) *Spontaneous decisions: Used when you make decisions at the moment of speaking. Example: I'm hungry. I will order pizza. (Tengo hambre. Pediré pizza.)

Uses of the Future Simple in English

*Promises, offers and wishes:It is used to promise something, make an offer or show willingness to do something. Example: I will help you with your homework. * Future actions with certainty: It is also used when we talk about something that we know will happen. Example: The train will arrive at 7:30 PM.

Interrogative Will you help me with my homework? (¿Me ayudarás con mi tarea?) Will they arrive early? (¿Llegarán temprano?) Will you go to the concert on Saturday? (¿Irás al concierto el sábado?) Will we have time to finish the project? (¿Tendremos tiempo para terminar el proyecto?) Will it rain tomorrow? (¿Lloverá mañana?)

Negative I will not (won’t) eat pizza tonight. (No comeré pizza esta noche.) She will not (won’t) go to the party. (Ella no irá a la fiesta.) We will not (won’t) watch that movie. (No veremos esa película.) They will not (won’t) be at the meeting. (Ellos no estarán en la reunión.) He will not (won’t) arrive on time. (Él no llegará a tiempo.)

Afirmative I will travel to New York next month. (Viajaremos a Nueva York el próximo mes.) She will call you when she arrives. (Ella te llamará cuando llegue.) We will visit the museum tomorrow. (Visitaremos el museo mañana.) They will study for the exam tonight. (Ellos estudiarán para el examen esta noche.) He will help you with your project. (Él te ayudará con tu proyecto.)
