Carbonara pasta

  • 350 g pasta (spaghetti)
  • 100 g parmesan cheese + extra for serving
  • 200 g bacon pieces
  • 1 egg + 2 yolks
  • 2 crushed garlic
  • salt and black pepper
  • olive oil

Ingredients

  • One pot;
  • One frying pan;
  • One spoon;
  • One fork or a tong;
  • One plate;

Utensils

  1. Beat the egg and yolks and season with a little freshly ground pepper. Add the Parmesan cheese, mix and set aside.
  2. Bring a pan of water and salt to the boil and cook the pasta until al dente according to the instructions on the package.
  3. Add a little olive oil to a wide frying pan and fry the bacon and crushed garlic over medium heat until golden, about 5 minutes. Remove the garlic from the pan.
  4. Drain the pasta (but reserve some of the cooking water) and add it to the pan with the bacon so that it absorbs the flavor and mixes well. Add a little of the cooking water, about 7 tablespoons and mix.

5. Remove the pasta and bacon from the heat and quickly add the egg yolk and cheese mixture. Lift the dough with the help of a fork or tongs until it is completely covered with the mixture. Season with salt if desired.6. Serve immediately with a little more grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper.
