Pilgrims

The Pilgrims were a group of English settlers who traveled to America in 1620. They sailed on a ship called the Mayflower to escape religious persecution in England. After a long and difficult journey, they arrived in what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Pilgrims formed a colony and worked hard to survive in their new land. They are known for celebrating the first Thanksgiving with the Native Americans in 1621.

Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November. Families often gather together to share a big meal, which usually includes turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Many people also watch parades and football games on television.
