The US presidential election is an indirect election. The U.S. citizen voters elect 538 voters who will each vote for one candidate.

These large electors are distributed across the various states of the United States according to a part-demographic census key.

The number of electors in a state is equal to the number of representatives related to the population of the state and two senators per state.
How to win a election :
To win, a candidate must have won the majority of 538 voters, or at least 270.
How to win a election :
Each state receives as many voters as it has representatives and senators in the Congress, namely 435 representatives and 100 senators respectively
