Family Night

On Saturday night, Paula ran into the living room. Her father was near the television. "The TV isn't working," he said. "But I always watch a nature show at 7:00," said Paula. "Tonight's show is about crocodiles that live in Australia." "Let's do something together. Let's have a family night!" her father said. "No. I want to watch TV," said Paula.

She went into her bedroom and sat on her bed. Then, she heard her family in the kitchen. Paula walked in. "Your brother and I made a pizza," her mother said. "Now we're making lemonade. Would you like some?" "We can make a model plane, too!" her father said. "OK," said Paula. "But can we eat first?"

Paula's family ate pizza and drank lemonade. Then, Paula and her father made the model plane. Paula's mother and brother did a puzzle. Later, everyone played a board game.

Paula smiled. "I usually watch TV, but I'm having a fun time with you. Can we have a family night next Saturday, too?"
