The Magical Christmas Star
Vannia Elizabeth Valencia Chavarría 363
First, there was a girl named Lily who loved looking at the stars. She lived in a snowy village with her grandmother. One cold Christmas night, her grandmother told her a story about a magical star. “This star can make a wish come true,” said her grandmother. Lily’s eyes lit up. “Where can I find it?” she asked. But her grandmother just smiled and said, “You must believe in the magic of Christmas.”
Before going to bed, Lily looked out of her window. She saw the brightest star shining in the sky. “That must be the magical star!” she thought. Then, Lily made a wish. She said, “I wish to see Santa Claus and his reindeer tonight.” She waited and waited, but nothing happened. Later, Lily heard a soft jingle outside her window. She opened it and saw a sparkling trail of light in the sky. She quickly put on her coat and boots and ran outside. After that, she followed the light through the snowy forest. It was cold and dark, but the light made her feel warm and safe Suddenly, the light stopped near a big, old tree. Under the tree, Lily saw a small golden star glowing. She picked it up, and it felt warm in her hands. The star spoke to her softly, “Close your eyes and believe.” Lily did as it said.
Finally, when she opened her eyes, she was in Santa’s workshop! Elves were working on toys, and reindeer were getting ready for the big night. Santa Claus himself smiled and said, “Thank you for believing in the magic, Lily.” In the end, Santa gave Lily a special bell and said, “This will remind you to always believe.” Lily returned home, holding the bell tightly. At last, on Christmas morning, she woke up to find the bell under her tree. She smiled, knowing the magic of Christmas was real. It was a night she would never forget.
