Did the findings prove to be statistically significant?
I do not think the findings in this study are statistically significant. As stated in Creswell, statisticaly significance reflects whether the scores reflect a pattern other than chance. In the case of this article, it is based on a case study, focusing on two different libraries and the online book clubs they offered for preteens and teens. No actual data was collected other than in one of the libraries where the teen participants were given a survey. In the second book club, the authors more or less described how the book club worked and what it looked like. No data was collected. In order to be statisitically significant, you need actual data to analyze. The authors should have included a larger sample size, which was admitted in the conclusion of the paper.

Practical significance
While the paper did not provide any statistical significant, it does have some practical significance. Practical significance can refer to the real-world impact of the study. In the case of this article, highlighting and examining two public library based online book clubs does have practical significance when looking at whether they do promote engagement with reading. This is something that can be beneficial and useful to both school and public librarians as they create programming for teen readers. Furthermore, the findings of the authors are contexually relevant as their findings and observations do support what they set out to study: highlight successful online book clubs.
