Women in the first industrial revolution

exploitation and abuse

historical context

Women will find themselves working in a totally different context than in the past. With the birth of industries, the figure of the worker changes completely, we move from the farmer to the worker, who mostly manages the machines. Even the social condition will not be better, because the richer social classes will still have control over the industries, and will abuse their condition, especially towards the workers

The condition of women intothe industries

FROM THE PAST TO TODAY

Compared to the past, the condition of women in the working world has certainly improved significantly today, thanks to the struggles and revolts that occurred in the past. For example, they have a more decent salary, they work the right hours, they are protected from a physical and health point of view, as they have the right to paid sick leave or even maternity leave before and after giving birth. Furthermore, they can also cover important roles. Despite this, however, there is not complete equality with men, for example women have lower salaries than men. Furthermore, there is still talk of incidents of physical abuse by employers. I think that all this is the result of a backward mentality, and that is why there is still a lot to work on.
