CONGRADULATIONS!!! YOU WON!!!
Thinking about the principles of gamification, (for example: mystery, competition, learning by failing, badges, etc) how do you see yourself gamifying your future classroom?ANSWER: I definetly plan on using prizes when children win games or make good grades. I will also do kahoot games every now and again to win prizes. Any subject can have fun activities.
Why is gamification something you believe educators should consider implementing into their classrooms? ANSWER: It makes learning fun and something the kids enjoy. I remember games in school and that's what I looked forward to the most.
What was the most surprising/most interesting/most memorable piece of information you learned from the "Gaming in the Classroom Infographic"? How does this impact your thoughts towards your future classroom?ANSWER: The most interestion thing is how student's attention span is so much stronger and more affective when games are included in the classroom. This taught me that all learning doesnt have to be monotoned teaching at the board. Learning can be fun.
What was the most surprising/most interesting/most memorable piece of information you learned from the "Infographic: How Games Can Help Children Learn"? How does this impact your thoughts towards your future classroom?ANSWER: I learned that kids can learn life lessons during these games. Problem solving and working with others will be developed. I think I'll do group project games so that students can learn and work with others.
What was the most surprising/most interesting/most memorable piece of information you learned from the "TedTalk: The Power of Gamification in Education"? How does this impact your thoughts towards your future classroom?ANSWER:This taught me that it changes students view on learning. They may hate learning in a lecture driven class but love learning in a class that involves gamification! I defiently want kids to enjoy learning. I want to include fun things all throughout the day in my class. Learning isn't alwasy boring.
