Simple present

Para expresar hábitos, rutinas, feitos, ou algo que ocurre habitualmente.

  • I smoke (hábito)
  • I work in London (habitualmente)
  • London is a large city (feito xeral)

SIMPLE PRESENT

Forma verbal en presente:Positive: S + Verb + complementNegative: S + dont/doesn't+ Verb + complement Question: Do/does + S + Verb + complement Exemplos:

  • I have breaksfast everyday at 7 am
  • Amanda doesn't work in a bank, she works in a hospital
  • Does Violeta live in Paris?

RECORDATORIO: Como formar a 3ª persona en "simple present"

NORMALMENTE termina en -s: he wants, she needs, he gives, she thinks

Verbos que terminan en CONSONANT + -y : Cambiamos -y por -ies: fly --> flies, cry --> cries

Añadimos -es os verbos que terminan en:-s, -z, -x, -sh, -ch, -o: he passes, she catches, he fixes, it pushes, She does

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

Para describir: Una acción que ocorre agora: He is saying hello now. Una situación que pasa temporalmente: Carol is working in Santiago these days. Eventos futuros xa programados: I'm meeting my boyfriend tonight.

Positive: S + is / are + verbo + -ing Negative: s + isn't / aren't + verb -ing) Question: Verb to be + s + Verb -ing

  • We're going on holiday tomorrow
  • Daddy is not cooking a salad
  • Is more people becoming vegetarian?
