Michele Orsulak, Laura Fetterolf, Melissa Grobmyer, Chelsea Mahosky, Kara Kitzig, Kathy Graham, Carrie Bubul

This PLC is doing a great job of supporting each other. They are open to trying new things and being vulnerable along the way. They are a shining example of organizing for collaboration.

Jeremy Burkett

Middle School AP

Jeremy Burkett brings high levels of energy to the middle school science PLC by getting teachers excited about PLCs and Data Wise. He reviews the big picture and goal of the PLC, makes connections to their science work outside of PLCs, and took time to fully explain the PLC tasks and purpose. Jeremy seeks to have Science teachers fully engaged and emerge with completed PLC tasks while building capacity and confidence from the process.

Katie Artin

Middle School AP

Katie Artin continues to do an exceptional job modeling tasks and reviewing PLC agendas, encouraging teacher leadership and accountability of each other during their time together in PLCs, and being consistent in the organizing for collaborative work strategies they have learned such as - reviewing norms, assigning roles, etc, and Katie always leaves time for 'Glows and Grows'!

Math PLC Admin Team

This PLC follows the rolling agenda by reviewing the "Action Steps" from the previous meeting at the beginning of the next meeting. The Learner and Learning Spotlight included specific "notices" and detailed "wonders". This PLC does a great job communicating during meetings and staying on task.

ELA 7 PLC 2

Liz McCurdy, Allison Stoner, Lindsey Miller, Kali Myers, Nichole Lear, Sami Parks, Jamie Ettinger

When presented with frustrating i-Ready data reflecting an overwhelming number of rush flags, the group decided to focus on how to support learners with test-taking skills, rather than focus straight in on an i-Ready domain. They are working through the action plan they have set where they directly teach these skills through reviews and are tracking learner improvement through assessment data. Way to go, ELA 7.2!

Laura Koehle

Director of Special Education

Laura Koehle continues to enthusiastically support both APs and teachers in the itinerant PLC. It is refreshing to see her happy and supportive to her staff.

English 9 PLC 5

It can be difficult when your team feels incomplete. Even with half of the team missing during the last meeting, they jumped right in and continued on without hesitation! The pacing and process went smoothly and the team was especially supportive of one another!

  • If I see _____ in this data, and I want to get more information, where do I go?
  • If I'm looking for data specific to _______, how can I find that?
  • Is there a piece of data that will show me….?
  • I have a lot of numbers in this data, but I'm not sure what it means.
  • I think these pieces of data are related; Can I talk through my notices and wonderings with you?
  • As I'm reviewing data, I think it means…
  • How does the data from source A interact with the data from source B?
  • These two sources of data disagree. How do I know what's accurate?
  • I'm trying to understand how i-Ready results impact my class. Can we meet to discuss?
  • What do I do with these i-Ready results?

Art 8 works to be efficient in their planning by using known tools that are currently part of their workflow but adjust the functionality and use those tools in a new way. Their November strategy incorporated the use of a Padlet featuring questions for students to 'vote on' and each teacher can bring response data generated from Padlet's analytics. Great ideas, Art 8!
