The Behavioral Paradigm
Conclusion
Behavior, contrary to what we may think, does not arise in the field of education.Behavioral theory comes from the study of human conduct and behavior. It offers enough elements that allow the educational area to implement it in the teaching-learning process, being the oldest theory of learning; it has persisted over time, since human behavior is one of the most important factors in learning. Many of the elements that make up that theory tend to be coercive, which is why today it weakens, but will remain in force in the learning of the human being.
Learning BehaviourismFrom the point of view of this theory, learning is a change in conduct that affects human behavior. The educational model it implements is the traditional one, in which the only possessor of knowledge is the teacher.
Current EducationAs far as behavior is concerned, current education no longer privileges:
- Memory
- Punishment
- Negative strengthening
- Repetitive continuity
