Найбуйнейшы кар’ер – «Давыдаўка-1» у Светлагорскім раёне Гомельскай вобласці. Здабыча кварцавых пяскоў для вытворчасці шкла вядзецца у Добрушскім раёне Гомельскай вобласці ААТ «Гомельскі горнаабагачальны камбінат».

Агульныя запасы складаюць 4,3 млрд. тон. Узрост – 4-12 тыс. гадоў. Трапляецца і больш старажытны торф. Паклады з запасамі ад 8 млн. тон – у 5 раёнах: Івацэвіцкі, Пінскі, Мядзельскі, Ляхавіцкі, Вілейскі. Выкарыстоўваецца: - у энергетыцы для вытворчасці паліва; - у сельскай гаспадарцы у якасці ўгнаення; - у медыцыне для атрымання актываванага вугалю і іншых лекаў.

Радовішчы размешчаны пераважна у Гомельскай вобласці. Першае было адкрыта у Рэчыцкім раене ў 1964 годзе. У 2010-х гадах былі адкрыты Паўднёва-Шацілкаўскае і Вугальскае радовішчы. Усяго ў Беларусі выяўлена 82 нафтавыя радовішчы, 64 з іх распрацоўваюцца. З нафты атрымліваюць: паліва, масла, бітум, пластык, лекі, касметыку. Нафта, здабытая ў Беларусі, адпраўляецца на экспарт. Разам з нафтай са свідравін здабываецца спадарожны нафтавы газ. З яго атрымліваюць газ для АЗС.
