Learning Theories

Start

Based on the above you will be able to select and implement strategies to achieve the designated learning objectives.

You Will Identify

  • The different Learning Theories that underpin educational models.
  • The main elements that make up the teaching-learning process in each theory.
  • The main elements that make up the teaching-learning process in each theory.

The first thing we will study is how the teaching-learning process is formed, as there is no single definition for this process. This depends on the theory we analyze it with. However, it has some common elements that are as follows.

Learning is Gradual

We start from the simplest to the complex.

Learning is Systematic

In other words, a series of elements are involved that will allow us to interact in order to obtain the expected result.

It must have a goal at the end

This goal should be SMART whose acronym means: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and limited in a while. This last point is indispensable because from the objective we will select the appropriate Theory

It is increasingly important to learn and examine the Theories of Learning to face the educational challenges of the new generations. Learning is an educational process that has been addressed in different instances of educational development. It is so complex that today there are components that continue to be of interest to researchers committed to education.

Getting to know and Delving into Learning Theories

Both internal and external factors are involved since learning is inherent in each individual, and is not currently considered a simple transmission of knowledge. Learning is a cognitive process. It takes knowledge and shares it so it can last and be of use in each individual's life. Learning and teaching are connected and cannot exist separately.

Learning

Consists primarily of generating change internally, and is carried out in superior brain functions so that the individual builds his own knowledge, involving psychological, environmental, and individual experiences.

The Role of the Teacher, the Student, and How to Interact

The roles of the teacher, the student, and their interactions both inside and outside the classroom should be clearly defined. The effective use of technology must be supported by learning theories that have endured due to their importance in the implementation of new educational models.

Educational paradigms seek to investigate a problem that can provide reliable elements to improve the educational process, with learning theories being a relevant factor that positively influences human learning.
