Ecosystems(Flora and Fauna )

The flora of Los Cabos includes cacti, succulents and some other species that are already adapted to the desert, which are endemic to the region. These plants are a special part of the ecosystem and provide a home as well as food for many animals. On the other hand, the fauna of Los Cabos is diverse with different mammals, reptiles and birds accustomed to living in the desert climate and its mountain terrain. Among the species that you can find in Los Cabos are the gray whale, the minke whale, the humpback whale, the blue whale and the sei whale; in addition to the red turtle, the Pacific tortoisee, the green turtle, the loggerhead turtle, the lora turtle, the brown turtle and the lute turtle, sea lions, dolphins, as well as various species of fish and migratory birds that make a stopover in Baja California Sur on long trips. Los Cabos has a surprising biodiversity, with species that cannot be found in any other region of the world. Flora & fauna are fundamental because they reflect the culture and identity of the region, so it is essential to take care of their preservation to ensure the ecosystem of future generations.
