Il pianeta Nettuno possiede un debole sistema di cinque anelli planetari principali, chiamati con i nomi di astronomi che hanno effettuato importanti studi sul pianeta. La loro struttura sembra irregolare, sono composti da meteoriti e polveri, e la sua forma irregolare è causata dagli effetti gravitazionali dei suoi satellitidandogli cosi' la stessa forma delle loro orbite
