We live in Brittany, in the Morbihan area (west of France.It's a very popular tourist region.Our school is located near the town of Auray (14 480 inhabitants), a few kilometres from the sea (Carnac, la Trinité sur Mer, Quiberon are very popular seaside resorts).
In the Morbihan area, you can visit four inhabited islands : Belle ile en mer, Groix, l'ile aux moines, Arz, Hoëdic.

We start school at 8 a.m. and have 7 hours of lessons a day (French, languages, mathematics, earth sciences, physical sciences, sports, music, etc.). We finish school at 4pm (Wednesdays at 12pm)

Vannes, the main town in Morbihan (about 15 km from our school). You can visite the port, the city walls and the timber-framed houses.

is a small and old port in Auray, there are a lot of restaurants and touristic shops. It’s famous and touristic.

Carnac
With its two kilometres of white sand, the Grande Plage de Carnac is the largest of the town’s five beaches
Quiberon It’s a Wild coast in Quiberon it’s so touristic and beautiful. There are lot of beaches and we can surf.
The Carnac menhirs are distinguished by their incredible alignment. Carnac has more than 3,000 menhirs, dating back some 7,000 years. They will soon be classified by Unesco

"kouing amann" It is a caramelized flaky typical Breton cake, rich in butter and sugar.
"Far" = brittany cake with prunes
Pancakes It is a swett pancake eaten for dessert.

oysters We eat oysters all year round, but they are a festive dish reserved for special occasions (Christmas...).

Lorient Interceltic Festival The world's largest Celtic gathering. Each year in August (10 days of festivities and music). Bands come from all over the world
La Gacilly International Photography Festival

Founded in 2004, the International Photo Festival invites you on an immersive photographic experience. Each year from June to October.

In Morbihan, there are many islands to visit. The most famous and largest is Belle ile en mer (5500 inhabitants live here all year round).
There are lots of water-based activities : surfing, sailing, windsurfing, sand yachting, kite surfing... Every Easter weekend, there is a sailing competition in the port of La Trinité sur Mer.

If you take walks on the beach, you can see horses gallop on it. It is very cool.

The fishing is a famous activity on the seaside. You must be patient for fishing because the fish don’t often bite on the hook. But the landscape is always beautiful.

Breton dance It is a traditional and famous dance in Brittany. You can learn to dance the Breton dance by watching these videos (tutorials) :
