Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live...
The Witch Trials
and how history repeats itself...
History
Starting in the 1400s, witch trials spread throughout Europe, leading to the deaths of 80,000 people, primarily women and girls. In the 1600s, the trials would overtake Salem Village, Massachussetts. Was this a case of the supernatural, or was this a case of mass hysteria and corruption?
The Beginning...
In 1692, four young girls begin acting strangely, experiencing muscle spasms, hallucinations, and even delusions. The town minister and doctor diagnose them as being "under an evil hand." They have been afflicted by witchcraft. Soon, the young girls accuse three women of bewitching them, thus starting the Salem Witch Trials.
