Method - Tiger Connect

• Most of the providers are reached via Tiger Connect, previously known as Tiger Text.
• Tiger Connect sends text out in a HIPAA compliant method.
• Most people, including the client says Tiger Text as opposed to Tiger Connect.
• Some providers prefer to be called directly and will not use Tiger Connect.
• Some providers will use Tiger Connect depending upon the time of day / night, so please read each instruction set carefully.

Cellphones

• The cell phones are not listed as ‘Cell phones’; they are listed as ‘Home’ phones.
• They are listed as ‘Home’ in order to prevent messages being sent out as SMS.

SMS

• SMS is not HIPAA compliant.
• The client is strongly against using this method, SMS.
• If you see any contact number listed as a ‘Cell’, please send a F2 so it can be updated to ‘Home’.

At the bottom of the profile you will see a tab labeled Tiger Connect/Text, once on that tab, you can launch the website by selecting the button and copying and pasting the log in and password provided.

It can take a moment for the website to load as it downloads messages.

Breakdown

• On the left (Inbox): Are the names of the clinicians. You can search for, or scroll in order to find the name you are looking for.

• Searching/Scrolling for a Name: When you find the name click on it, this name will appear at the top. On this example Concierge (Cedars & Weho) are selected. Once selected we will be able to see messages we sent, as well as any responses.

Messages sent / read

• If you see the word ‘Sent’ (usually in blue) it has only been delivered, the message has NOT been read yet.

• Once the clinician has read the message, at the very bottom of the message to the right, the word READ will turn green, or there may be a response of ‘Received’.

• You can NOT end escalation until the word READ is in green, or there is a response that it was received.

• If you do NOT see the message in Tiger Connect.
• First, check to see if the On-Call is using Tiger Connect, or if we are calling.
• If the On-Call is using Tiger Connect, then you must copy the message directly into Tiger Connect.
• Make sure you have located the correct On-Call and paste the message into Tiger Connect.
