Data Analysis

There is an immense amount of data that the NFL creates that coaches have to analyze. With the use of AI, it will substantially reduce the time it takes to gather all that data. Also, AI is able to find patterns that humans wouldn't be able to find and understand. From this, the coaches can get the best understanding of their team and the opponent as well.

Ai Trainers

In the near future, the NFL will be able to have Ai trainers for players to use. This will allow for coaches to program and inform this technology with everything it needs to effectively create programs for their athletes. Also, not only give them exercise but also be a personal trainer that will work to create the best version of themselves. They will ensure that the athletes are encouraged and are accountable for their workouts.

Practicing

Practices are a crucial part of making teams better and able to prepare the week prior to each game. AI devices are being used in helmets and shoulder pads that allow coaches to receive data that can help reduce injuries from happening. Also, it can better predict when injuries may occur given the data it is receiving from the devices such as heart rate,number of impacts they receive, and overall stress on the body.

Ai Impact on Game Plan

AI is going to have a lasting impact on game planning games. AI is able to take data that coaches give up and AI is able to find patterns and different data points that would be useful for the coaches. AI can find pattern and analysis data thousands of times faster than any human or coach could do. In my opinion, this is a very helpful and needed tool that should be added in the future.

The NFL (National Football League) is a professional American football league where the goal is to score more points than the opposing team by advancing the ball into the opponent’s end zone or kicking it through the goalposts. Each team has 11 players on the field, with separate units for offense, defense, and special teams.Teams alternate between playing offense, where they try to advance the ball and score, and defense, where they aim to stop the opposing team. The offense gets four downs (attempts) to gain 10 yards; if successful, they earn a new set of downs. If they fail, they usually punt (kick the ball to the opposing team) or attempt a field goal. Each team is led by coaches that call in or decide on a certain play and decide which players should be on the field. They have a huge impact on the game and a lot of times the coaching either wins or loses the game for their team.

My Thoughts on AI

In my opinion, Both of these concepts have a tremendous positive impact on the NFL. For safety, this is a huge positive advancement because it will allow players to play longer and be safer. And for the personal trainer it is a very positive impact as the players get more athletic and is less for coaches to worry about. For game planning it will allow coaches to analyze data from games to create a game plan for the following week. For negatives, AI can take away from the diversity that you see in the NFL with different coaches and if all teams use AI for Gameplaning it can make the NFL basic and enjoyable to the fans.

Players Safety Overview

Player safety is arguably the most important area when it comes to the NFL. Because of this, they are working hard on discovering how AI will help improve it. In each window, you will learn about the different ways AI is improving player safety. And the huge changes that will come from it.

Two Main ideas

There are two ideas that I have chosen to narrow my subject down to. This includes how AI will impact player safety and how it will impact game strategy optimization and how games are played. In each of the following segments. I will elaborate on all the main subtopics and show how much of an impact AI will have in the NFL and football in general.

Playcalling

Each team has numerous play calls that they can do at any time during the game. With the use of AI, AI can give coaches predictions on what they will run based on their patterns from recent games and what the stats say. This allows coaches to scheme up the best to counteract it. One area of concern is the NFL has unique coaches with unique backgrounds and different experiences and beliefs. Converting to AI, it won't have that same effect because all teams would be on a similar platform and ideas.
